All About Adrian Halpert – Insert Qualification Name Here
Adrian went to law school at Windsor Law. Upon graduation, he secured a position as an articling student with some of Kingston, Ontario’s top criminal defense lawyers, despite the impact of covid restrictions on the legal profession.
While articling, Adrian participated in cases dealing with a broad range of criminal law matters such as homicide, sexual assault, drug offences and bail, as well as numerous matters pertaining to prison and mental health law. The unusual circumstances surrounding Adrian’s articling also gave him the opportunity to gain experience with bothvirtual and in-person legal work, and integrate the new technology into legal practice.
Adrian applied to law school with the intent of pursuing a career in criminal defense. While in Windsor Law, he focused his studies on criminal and mental health law, as well as in-depth research work on the emerging field of the interaction between neurodiversity (Autism Spectrum and ADHD) and the law. Supplementing his studies, Adrian also worked as a caseworker at Community Legal Aid in downtown Windsor and participated in criminal moot court competitions.
Prior to law school, Adrian overcame a youth spent below the poverty line, and paid his own way through undergrad while working in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center.
On the journey to completing law school, Adrian and had an opportunity to witness many instances of systemic injustice and ignorance or abuse from people in positions of power, and the harm it can cause to people’s lives. This has made Adrian a very passionate and determinedadvocate for his clients and gives Adrian a unique strategic lens he brings to attain the best outcome for your case.
